When games with a strong focus on cooperative play fail to allow consumers to dabble in that aspect, it’s a pretty serious issue. This is a problem that’s plagued a lot of people attempting to get some multiplayer action in Riptide and Star Trek on PC, and those suffering from a lack of co-op are not best pleased. Everything is ready, and you’re just about to jump into your first co-op game, but fate has conspired against you, and nothing you do allows you to play with your –now bored - chums. Maybe it’s Dead Island: Riptide, and you’re preparing to slaughter a million zombies all in the name of good fun, or perhaps you’re getting ready to fight the Gorn menace with Spock and Kirk in Star Trek. You’ve just picked up a game to play with your mates, and you’re appropriately excited.
